For more than 40 years, Jacaranda has offered innovative wood products that can transform any interior. Jacaranda’s superior quality has positioned it as an industry leader. Its SanFoot and SanPly products are available in an extensive selection of domestic and exotic species, colors and finishes to enhance the wood’s natural beauty. Each sheet of wood veneer is designed and cut to maximize the yield of the logs. Jacaranda then adds flexible backings and damage-resistant coatings that make the finished product even more versatile.
The popularity of Jacaranda speaks for itself: You can see it in some of the world’s finest and most recognizable facilities, corporations and institutions. SanFoot wood veneer sheets are numbered and sequenced, and they are available in more than 100 domestic and recon species. The veneer is easy to install, much like vinyl wallcovering, but is flexible enough to be applied on columns and easily wrap inside or outside corners.
Each sheet features five-ply construction, making it easy to apply to curved and contoured surfaces, such as reception desks, columns, curved walls and radius corners. We use only AA architectural-grade real wood with a variety of cuts, colors and species for virtually endless design options. Installation is fast and easy, requiring no specialized treatments, tools or procedures, and sequencing makes it easy to achieve the look you want. Each veneer sheet comes with a urethane coat for a soft sheen and durable finish. Custom stains and additional finishes are available for greater sheen and maximum durability for high-traffic areas.
All Jacaranda wood veneer products are Class A fire rated, environmentally safe and have no added formaldehyde. They also are VOC compliant. Products can be traced to their origins so that you can be confident of their environmental friendliness.
Jacaranda’s commitment to the environment is evident in everything it does. Jacaranda has been developing revolutionary methods to get more out of every log while supporting conservation efforts around the world. Wood is a natural building material that is both renewable and sustainable. In fact, it uses significantly less fossil fuel than other building materials, such as steel and concrete. Perhaps just as importantly, newly planted trees will continue to absorb and store carbon dioxide. With proper forestry management and good stewardship, wood is a material that will continue to grow and serve many generations to come.
The first step toward environmentally friendly wood production is sourcing trees responsibly. Jacaranda carefully selects individual mature trees from old-growth forests, which creates more space for robust young trees and improves the overall health of the forest. The company also uses plantation trees, which ensure a sustainable supply of wood for veneer and other applications. Plantation trees often include those that otherwise might be endangered in their natural habitats, but they can also include more common species grown to be reconstructed, dyed or otherwise altered to simulate more exotic species and beautifully unique veneers, such as FineTec.
Jacaranda slices the veneer sheets wafer thin, enabling it to get three times as much veneer from each log. This means that fewer trees need to be cut down to create the needed amount of wood. Some veneers, such as TransTec are sliced so thin that light can pass through for luxurious back lighting and other visually stunning effects.
Jacaranda’s commitment to conservation and green building goes beyond the harvesting and manufacturing process. Jacaranda actively supports environmental organizations and is a proud member of the Forest Stewardship Council and the U.S. Green Building Council, and it follows Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora regulations for import and export of all wood species.
